Ongoing unresolved conflict impacts your well-being and/or may have financial consequences. While conflict is generally inevitable, combat is a choice. You can also choose to reduce and resolve conflict.
Whether your conflict is within a personal, social or family relationship, mediation has a strong chance to resolve and even heal distressed relationships, if all parties are willing to participate in the process.
How does it work?
- You will first each meet with the mediator separately
- You will be coached in communication and conflict management skills, to manage the process optimally
- You will not sit in the same room, until you feel ready to do so
- In the mediation, you will be able to communicate your perspective and be heard and understood by the other
- No-one will be judged
- You will be supported through a structured, respectful process by a very experienced mediator/psychologist in a safe forum
- You will be actively involved in developing and possibly agreeing to outcomes that resolve the issues raised
- Fractured relationships have a high chance to heal
